UNESCO-registered Pasargadae launches website
TEHRAN – Authorities of Pasargadae, a UNESCO World Heritage, have recently launched an official website for the magnificent royal complex in southern Iran.
The website provides credible yet detailed information on historical and touristic sides of the site in Persian and English languages. It also caters for the latest news, announcements as well as related archeological documents, Mehr quoted Hamid Fadai, director of the world heritage site, as saying on Saturday.
Affiliated with the Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Organization, the website can be reached at www.pasargadae.ir, the report added.
Located about 50km north of Persepolis, itself a World Heritage, Pasargadae was the capital of the Achaemenid Empire under Cyrus the Great who reigned mighty Persian Empire from 559 to 530 BC.
