TEHRAN – After a five-year halt, the southern Iranian city of Shiraz will host the 9th Pars international tourism exhibition from December 10 to 13.

Handicraft exhibitors and tourism marketers from six countries are planned to attend the event, IRNA quoted Alireza Dezhbod, secretary of the exhibit, as saying on Monday.

He didn’t provide more details about the foreign attendees but expressed hope that several other countries would join the participants as well.

Hospitality and hoteling, eco-lodge inns, marine and air sports, air traveling, online booking, free trade zones, recreational complexes as well as handicrafts will be amongst arenas of contribution towards the event, Dezhbod added.

Shiraz is home to dozens of magnificent buildings, historical sites and scenic landscapes. It was literally the capital of Persia during the Zand dynasty from 1751 to 1794.
