Intl. conference to highlight archaeology scene in Iran
TEHRAN – The International Congress of Young Archaeologists starts today at the Faculty of Literature and Humanities of the University of Tehran, bringing together dozens of archeological experts and students from Iran and around the world.
“Scholars from 17 countries along with representatives of over 20 Iranian universities, organizations and scientific institutions are scheduled to attend the three day event,” Jamejamonline quoted Morteza Khanipour, the science secretary of the congress, as saying on Thursday.
The event will touch upon recent archaeological discoveries in Iran, its theories and methods, preservation of archaeological heritage, landscape and maritime archaeology, amongst other arenas.
