Four-star hotel opens in Saqqez, western Iran

TEHRAN – A newly constructed four-star hotel has been inaugurated in the city of Saqqez, western Kordestan Province, Mehr reported on Sunday.

“Saqqez has considerable potential in cultural, natural, historical, and trade spheres to attract travelers,”Kordestan Governor General Abdolmohammad Zahedi said during the inauguration ceremony of the Kurd Hotel on Saturday evening.

The hotel, with about 4,600 square meters built-up area, enjoys facilities meeting latest national and international standards, Kaveh Ahmadi, the investor and manager of the 7-story hotel pointed out.

Under the 2025 Tourism Vision plan, Iran is expecting to increase the number of tourism arrivals from 4.8 million in 2014 to 20 million by 2025.
