Women and urban life charter to be drafted

TEHRAN – A charter on urban women’s life is to be drafted in order to study women’s role in urban life, head of policymaking council of international congress on women and urban life, Zahrasadat Moshir, said here on Monday.

The international congress on women and urban life aims at improving the quality of urban life of women and creating a charter that deals with urban women, ISNA quote Moshir as saying.
Creating an opportunity for exchange of views and interaction between city managers about the challenges women are facing in urban life is the most important responsibility of the congress, Moshir added. 
The congress will focus on issues such as “women, public places and urban joyfulness”, “ women, family and urban health”, “women, training and urban rights”, “women, management and civil programming”, and “women, empowerment and social justice”, she noted.
The congress will be held December 11-12, 2016 in Tehran.
