TEHRAN — Iranian Hekmat Pajouhan Company and South Korean ViroMed Company inked a memorandum of understanding to boost cooperation on traditional medicine, Tasnim news agency reported.

Iran’s government fully supports traditional medicine and aims to commercialize it, said Mahmoud Khodadoust, director general for Islamic-traditional medicine office of the Health Ministry during a meeting with Professor Kim Sun-Young of Seoul National University and the founding CEO of ViroMed.

Professor Kim also delivered a speech on botanical products and their functions with the universities chairmen in attendance.

Hekmat Pajouhan Company is a knowledge-based firm affiliated with Tehran University of Medical Sciences.

ViroMed, a leading biopharmaceutical company focusing on the development of innovative medicine, was established in 1996 and is headquartered in Seoul.
