General Soleimani commemorated in Syria

A host of Syrian people including tribal chiefs, clerics and religious scholars held a gathering in Damascus on January 25, 2020 to commemorate martyrdom of Iranian Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, who was assassinated in a U.S. strike in Baghdad on January 3. Abolfazl Tabatabai Ashkezari, the special representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, along with several Iranian, Syrian officials attended the event as well.
