Memorial service held for Maryam Mirzakhani in Tehran 

TEHRAN - A memorial service was held in Tehran in to pay homage to late genius mathematician Maryam Mirzakhani on July 20, 2017. Mirzakhani, 40, was a professor at Stanford University and the first-ever female winner of the prestigious Fields Medal prize. She passed away at a hospital in the U.S. on July 15 after four years of battling with breast cancer. Tehran Times / Mehran Riazi
