TEHRAN -- Bank Melli of Iran has opened a branch in Zanjan Province which is the first bank in the country which is exclusively for women. All the staff members are women and banking services are provided only to women.

During the opening ceremony, Zanjan governor general's advisor and secretary of the Women and Youth Committee Fatemeh Karbassi said that it made her happy and that it honors women. She also encouraged women to consult with economic officials in order to play a greater role in the Iranian economy.
