2,000 Visitors at Mahmoud Kalari Photo Exhibition
Kalari has expressed his views through his works about the collapse of the Berlin wall, and the unification of the East and the West Germany. Behrouz Qaribpour, director of Iranian Artists' Forum said, "There are very few photographers who have been able to express their feelings profoundly to the audience about such a significant historical event." Hossein Khosrojerdi, graphist and designer, said, "Kalari is innovative and confident behind the camera. His different and clever works are the best documents pictured by any Iranian so far. He has pictured the most critical events of the contemporary history in a way that the viewers feel like they are really experiencing the same events there and then. All his works question whether there is something on the other side of the wall."
German officials in Tehran, Jafar Panahi, Fatemeh Mo'tamed Aria, Abbas Kiarostami, Aziz Saati, Bahman Farmanara and others attended the exhibition.
The exhibition will continue until October 12.
