Iran to Export Latest Medical Technology to Syria
During a meeting with Syrian Health Minister Muhammad Iyad ash-Shati, the Iranian official also voiced his country's readiness to transfer the latest equipment to perform cochlea implantation to Syria.
Iran medical teams are ready to train Syrian surgeons in specialized ear surgeries and to conduct ear operations on patients in Syria, he said, adding that the Syrian government may also dispatch medical teams to Iran to learn more of the technology from Iranian surgeons.
Abdolalizadeh also said that at the end of his current visit, representatives of the Syrian and Iranian governments are to sign a document evidencing Iran's commitment to equip Syrian hospitals, the first stage of which will be for the Iranian Health Ministry to equip three Syrian hospitals.
Abdolalizadeh is accompanying the Leader's Representative, Ayatollah Mohammad Mohammadi Golpaygani, in this week-long official visit. Both arrived here Monday night.
Ayatollah Golpaygani's visit includes a tour of this capital's religious sites as well as a number of buildings constructed by the Iranian Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.
