Omani, Iranian Universities to Sign MOU

SHAHROUD, Semnan Province -- Omani Sultan Qaboos University will sign memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Tehran, Isfahan and Shiraz universities on student and professor exchange, common research projects as well as setting up educational courses.
Head of International and Scientific Cooperation Department of Shiraz University Mohsen Khademi told IRNA Tuesday on the sidelines of the First Workshop on International Relations in universities in Shahroud that a visiting delegation of Sultan Qaboos University came to Iran last week to evaluate the situation of these universities.
Khademi, who is at the same time a member of Iran-Oman Cooperational Panel for Higher Education, announced the university's contacts with the U.S. Virginia University on signing a scientific MOU.
"Omani University will pay out the cost of the educational cooperation," Khademi said.
