Iranian Banks in Persian Gulf States Should Raise Efficiency

TEHRAN Managing Director of Bank Melli Iran (BMI) Valiollah Seif in Abu Dhabi on Saturday stressed the need for Iranian banks operating in Persian Gulf states to raise their capabilities and efficiency.
BMI Public Relations Department quoted Seif as instructing Iran's Ambassador to the UAE Alireza Salari to use the experience of BMI branches abroad and bring about organizational changes thus paving the way for access to modern banking facilities.
Seif further advised Salari to take actions to make modern technology available to BMI branches in Iran and do away with traditional banking system. He also called for utilizing global information network and communications in line with the progress attained in international banking.
