TEHRAN On the occasion of the anniversary of Imam Khomeini's departure and June 5, 1963 (Khordad 15, 1342) uprising, the Foundation for Preservation of Works and Values of Sacred Defense issued a statement saying that it would renew its promise of loyalty to the causes of the late Imam Khomeini.

Also, the General Headquarters of the Armed Forces issued a statement announcing that the students of the late Imam Khomeini are always ready to fight against the enemies of Islam and that they would defend Islam, its great values and the rights and nobility of the Islamic ummah.

Meanwhile, the University Jihad announced in a statement that although some 12 years have passed since Imam Khomeini's departure, Muslim Iranians are still loyal to the Islamic Revolution and Imam Khomeini's causes and would follow his path.
