Iran, Azerbaijan Exchange Documents on Judicial Cooperation

BAKU The Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan exchanged here on Monday documents on judicial cooperation between the two countries.
Iran's outgoing Ambassador to Baku Alireza Bigdeli and Azeri Foreign Minister Vilayat Mukhtar Ogly Guliyev represented their countries in the exchange ceremony.
The documents had previously been approved by both the Iranian and Azeri legislative bodies.
During the ceremony, the Azeri foreign minister regretted the postponement of a planned visit by Azeri President Haider Aliyev to Tehran due to health problems, and expressed hope that the visit could take place as soon as possible.
After returning from a visit to the U.S., physicians treating the Azeri president recommended him to cancel all foreign trips for the time being.
Meanwhile, Guliyev expressed appreciation for the services of the outgoing Iranian ambassador during the latter's five-year mission in the Azeri capital city in the furtherance of Tehran-Baku bilateral relations.
