Leader’s commendation for books on Defenders of Shrine unveiled
TEHRAN- The commendations of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, on three significant books recounting the stories of the Defenders of the Holy Shrine who were martyred in Syria were unveiled during a ceremony in Tehran on Wednesday.
This event coincided with the 17th commemoration of literature on jihad and resistance, as well as the celebration of National Heroes, IRNA reported.
During the ceremony, the leader’s commendations on the books "I Care About You," "Majid Barbari," and "Twenty Years and Three Days" were prominently featured and celebrated, the report added.
In his commendation of the book “I Care About You,” which details the life of martyr Morteza Abdollahi, a defender of the shrine, the leader described the book as a manifestation of the Revolution's ascendance.
“This is another expression of the Revolution's rise: a brave young man with the rationality of the 2010s and the emotions of the 1980s... A reflection of the verse: ‘To Him ascends good speech, and righteous deeds raise it.’ It showcases a struggle on the best path and ultimately achieves the highest purpose. The knowledge and patience of the narrator—the martyr’s wife—are commendable. May they be honored and proud."
He also praised the book's writing, especially noting the powerful expression of emotions in various passages, including its introduction and the poignant final lines.
"I Care About You," authored by Mohammad Rasul Mollahassani, spans 304 pages and is published by Shahid Kazemi Publishing House.
In his endorsement of "Majid Barbari," a book about the life of martyr Majid Qorbankhani, written by Kobra Khodabakhsh and published by Darkhoin Publications, the leader remarked: “Here, we witness a pure soul, a generous heart, and a helping hand extended to the weak.”
“Majid Qorbankhani embodies the verse: ‘And whoever Allah wills to guide – He expands his breast to [contain] Islam.’ He was deserving of this ascendance, and his pure heart and noble spirit had the capacity for it... May his rewards be abundant, and may we be granted the same, God willing," he added.
Regarding "Twenty Years and Three Days," which recounts the life of the youngest martyr of the shrine, Seyyed Mostafa Mousavi, written by Samaneh Khakbazaan and published by Revayat Fath Publications, the leader stated: “This account is both enviable and heartbreaking for those like me.”
“The brilliance of this young man and his peers dazzles my eyes while reminding me of the darkness in which we find ourselves. I commend the life-saving motivation that elevates Seyyed Mostafa to such heights and express my admiration for the patience and faith that bring peace to his parents in his absence. I thank God for the privilege of living in an era with such individuals," he concluded.
During another segment of the ceremony, families of the martyrs Majid Qorbankhani, Seyyed Mostafa Mousavi, and Morteza Abdollahi, along with the writers of the books were honored.
This ceremony, which saw the attendance of the esteemed families of martyrs, cultural officials, elites, thinkers, and artists, was held at the Bahman Cultural Center in Tehran and was broadcast live on KHAMENEI.IR and various television channels. Concurrently, events recognizing related literature on the heroes of the Resistance Front were conducted in 30 provinces across the country.
