Iran set to enhance relations with Oman: Pezeshkian
TEHRAN – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced that his administration is poised to take significant steps to bolster relations with Oman.
In a congratulatory message to Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, President Pezeshkian expressed warm wishes to the Omani people and government on the occasion of the Arab country’s National Day.
Reaffirming his administration's commitment to fostering good neighborly relations as a cornerstone of its foreign policy, the president emphasized Iran's intention to deepen ties with the Sultanate of Oman, highlighting the longstanding and robust connections between the two nations.
Oman’s National Day is celebrated on November 18, marking the birthday of the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said al Said, who led the country from 1970 until January 2020.
In his previous phone call with Sultan Haitham on October 16, the Iranian president expressed gratitude for Oman's strong condemnation of Israel's actions in Gaza and Lebanon. He urged for increased unity among Muslim nations to effectively address these pressing issues.
