Tehran explosions confirmed as air defense activity
TEHRAN - Sounds of explosions heard in Tehran were confirmed to be related to air defense activity in three locations outside the city, according to a spokesperson for the Tehran province's air defense.
The spokesperson emphasized that the incident is currently under investigation, offering no further details.
The confirmation comes after Israel announced early Saturday morning that it had targeted military sites in Iran in retaliation for a barrage of 200 ballistic missiles launched by Iran towards the occupied territories on October 1st.
Despite numerous reports of explosions by citizens, no evidence of the alleged Israeli attacks has been confirmed on the ground.
Iranian authorities have not issued any further statements regarding the incident.
