Visually impaired cast takes center stage in “A Collar for a Dead Dog”
TEHRAN- The Baran Theater Ensemble is hosting audiences at Tehran’s Shahrzad Theater Complex with their production "A Collar for a Dead Dog."
Gholamreza Arabi is the director of the play, which is the 5th production by the Baran Theater Ensemble. Written by renowned Iranian playwright Mohammad Charmshir, the play is performed by 11 visually impaired actors.
The performance is showcasing elements of Iranian theatrical style with live music, lasting 60 minutes.
"A Collar for a Dead Dog" comes after 18 months of classes and rehearsals by the Baran theater group, focusing on acting methods that emphasize touch and hearing. The production features a unique stage design, resulting from 11 years of research and activity by the group in this performance style.
The play will be on stage until November 16.
