TEHRAN – Iranian Energy Ministry plans to increase the country’s power generation capacity by 5,333 megawatts (MW) by the end of the current Iranian calendar year (late March 2025).

According to the Iranian Energy Ministry data, 2,817 MW of the mentioned figure will be provided by gas units, 914 MW will be provided by combined cycle power plants and the rest will be generated by hydropower plants, IRNA reported.
