Iran slams Western claims of ballistic missile sales to Russia as baseless
TEHRAN - The spokesperson for Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has denounced the European Troika's decision to impose sanctions on Iran over unsubstantial allegations of Tehran’s alleged missile provision to Russia.
Nasser Kanaani expressed strong disapproval of the “unusual remarks” made by the foreign ministers of the UK, France, and Germany regarding the termination of bilateral air service agreements with Iran and the sanctions against Iran Air company, which were justified by claims of Iran's involvement in the Ukraine conflict.
Kanaani remarked that the actions taken by these three European nations represent a continuation of the West's antagonistic policies and an act of economic terrorism against the Iranian populace, which will elicit a fitting and proportional response from the Islamic Republic.
The spokesperson reaffirmed Iran's established stance on the Ukraine situation, stating that any allegations concerning the sale of ballistic missiles to Russia by Iran are entirely unfounded and false.
Furthermore, Kanani pointed out that the United States and the three European nations are the primary suppliers of arms to the Israeli regime and complicit in the extensive violence against the Palestinian people and the genocide occurring in Gaza, and they must be held accountable for their erroneous policies.
