Iran, China ink MOU on geological co-op

TEHRAN – The geological survey bodies of Iran and China have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to cooperate in various areas, IRNA reported.

The MOU was signed between Iran's Geological Survey and Mineral Explorations Organization (GSI) and China Geological Survey (CGS) on the sidelines of the 37th International Geological Congress 2024 in Busan, South Korea.

As reported, the MOU, signed by the GSI Head Alireza Shahidi and CGS President Li Jinfa, includes joint geological and exploration surveys, green development in mineral resources, training and exchange of scientific and technical information, construction and sharing of geoscience databases, and joint organization of meetings, workshops, and seminars, etc.
