TEHRAN – Russia has rejected allegations that Iran has supplied Russia with missiles to be used In the Ukraine war after multiple American media outlets made the assertion without providing evidence. 

"Not every time such information corresponds to reality,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in remarks to Russian media. 

Peskov confirmed he saw a Wall Street Journal report on the matter, but added, “We have seen these reports, not every time such information corresponds to reality. Iran is our important partner, we are developing our trade and economic relations, and we are developing our cooperation and dialogue in all possible areas, including the most sensitive areas. And we will continue to do this in the interests of the peoples of our two countries," Peskov told reporters, according to Sputnik. 

The Wall Street Journal along with some other American outlets cited unnamed sources on Friday, claiming that Iran allegedly transferred hundreds of short-range ballistic missiles to Russia for use in its special military operation in Ukraine.

The Iranian Ministry of Foreign has also rejected the claims, emphasizing that Tehran has never participated in military engagements since the onset of the Ukraine war. "As has been emphasized multiple times, the Islamic Republic of Iran opposes war and supports a political solution to resolve the differences between Russia and Ukraine and to put an end to military conflicts,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani stated.

The West has also been accusing Iran of supplying Kamikaze drones to Russia, a claim it’s never provided evidence for.
