TEHRAN – The government’s cabinet has approved Jabar-Ali Zakeri as the new head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways (known as RAI), Tasnim News Agency reported.

Zakeri replaced Mi’ad Salehi who was in the position since October 2021.

During the cabinet meeting on Sunday, President Pezeshkian urged the new RAI head to find creative and innovative solutions to existing problems and to try to improve efficiency, productivity, service quality and increase people's satisfaction with the services of the national railways company.
