Iranian commander assesses northeastern defense positions

TEHRAN – The commander-in-chief of the Iranian Army Air Defense Force conducted an inspection of deployed military units in Iran's northeastern region on Saturday.

Brigadier General Alireza Sabahi Fard evaluated various positions within the northeastern air defense sector, focusing on the combat and operational readiness of the area.

During his visit, Sabahi Fard underscored the critical importance of maintaining combat readiness and vigilance among personnel tasked with defending the nation's airspace. 

He remarked that the Iranian Army Air Defense Force is vital in protecting the country's skies through the use of advanced technology and skilled personnel.

Sabahi Fard also stressed the essential role of air defense in ensuring national security and addressing potential aerial threats from adversaries and noted, “To bolster Iran's defensive capabilities, the Air Defense Force has implemented comprehensive measures to upgrade its radar and missile systems.”

Previously, Iranian officials affirmed their commitment to enhancing the nation's military capabilities, emphasizing their defensive nature.
