TEHRAN – Iran lost to South Korea 30-22 in Group I of the 2024 Asian Youth Handball Championship on Saturday.

Iran will meet Saudi Arabia on Sunday and hosts Jordan on Wednesday.

The 2024 Asian Men's Youth Handball Championship is the 10th edition of the championship and takes place from Sept. 3 to 14 in Amman, Jordan under the aegis of Asian Handball Federation.

It serves as the qualification tournament for the 2025 IHF Men's U19 Handball World Championship. Top five teams from the championship directly will qualify for the Youth World Championship to be held in Slovenia.
