TEHRAN- The Georgian Foreign Minister has extended his congratulations to Abbas Araghchi on his recent appointment as Iran's minister of foreign affairs.

In a letter, Georgia's Foreign Minister, Ilia Darchiashvili, expressed, "It is with great pleasure that I convey my heartfelt congratulations on your excellency's appointment as Iran's minister of foreign affairs."

Darchiashvili further stated, "As you embark on this new role, I wish you every success and express my eagerness to collaborate closely with you to enhance our bilateral relations in areas of shared interest, ultimately benefiting both our nations and the broader region. "

Abbas Araghchi secured the position of Iran's foreign minister in July following a decisive parliamentary vote.
