TEHRAN - Roberto Piazza took charge of Iran national volleyball team until 2028 Olympic Games to be held in Los Angeles, the U.S.

Piazza, 56, leads Power Volley Milano and will officially start his work from May 2025.

His main mission is to reach Team Melli to 2028 Olympic Games.

Iran failed to book their place in the 2024 Olympic Games under leadership of Brazilian coach Mauricio Motta Paes.

Piazza’s compatriot Tomaso Totolo has been named as Iran assistant coach.
