NIGC’s new head appointed

TEHRAN - Iranian Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad has appointed Saeed Tavakoli as the Deputy Oil Minister and Head of National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC).

Paknejad also appointed the main and alternate members of the Board of Directors of the National Iranian Gas Company by issuing separate decrees, Shana reported.

Tavakoli replaced Majid Chegeni.

The National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) was established in 1965 as one of the four principal companies affiliated to the Oil Ministry  of the Islamic Republic of Iran 

NIGC is responsible for the treatment, transmission, and delivery of natural gas to the domestic, industrial, and commercial sectors and power plants.
