Iran Air Defense Force self-sufficient: commander

TEHRAN – The commander of Iran's Army Air Defense Force, Brigadier General Alireza Sabahi Fard, has declared the force's complete self-sufficiency in air defense capabilities, highlighting the nation's commitment to defending its skies amidst perceived regional threats.

Speaking before the Friday prayers, General Sabahi Fard emphasized the crucial role of the Air Defense Force in countering "global arrogance," specifically citing the "nefarious Zionist regime." He attributed the recent increase in hostilities towards Iran to its position as the Axis of Resistance in the region, working to oppose "encroachment on true independence and freedom" and the nation's revolution. 

"In the Air Defense Force, considering the aerospace threats from global arrogance, we have upgraded our air defense capabilities and are not oblivious to other threats," the commander stated. "We are also closely monitoring the nefarious Zionist regime."

General Sabahi Fard also highlighted the unwavering commitment of the Air Defense personnel, calling them "guardians of God's boundaries." He expressed pride in serving in a military supported by both the Leader and the people, stating, "Our duty is to sacrifice for the nation."

The commander emphasized the Air Defense Force's remarkable achievement of self-sufficiency, boasting that they have "achieved self-sufficiency through tireless work in the design and production of control systems, radars, both radiating and non-radiating sensors, drones, electronic warfare equipment, and cyber capabilities." He confidently asserted, "We have been able to design and produce all our requirements and can detect and track any enemy stealth aircraft from miles away."

General Sabahi Fard concluded by reiterating the force's independence, stating, "The Air Defense Force is not dependent on any country for its needs, including missile systems, radar, and intelligence systems, and has achieved self-sufficiency in the design and production of advanced hybrid engagement systems."
