TEHRAN- The commander of Iranian Army Ground Forces has indicated that the entire strategy for securing the eastern borders relies entirely on artificial intelligence.

Brigadier General Kiomars Haidari emphasized that the engineering units of Iranian Army Ground Forces are responsible for implementing this initiative, with expectations that the border closure will be finalized ahead of schedule.

In an interview reported by Tasnim News, Kiomars Haidari elaborated that merely erecting a wall is insufficient for effective border security; therefore, advanced technologies and artificial intelligence are being employed.

Haidari also noted that the engineering units are specifically tasked with this project, and it is projected that the closure of the eastern borders will be achieved sooner than planned.

Earlier, the Iranian army's public relations department announced that Iran is in the process of constructing a 930-kilometer wall along its eastern borders with Afghanistan, aimed at bolstering security for both nations and curbing smuggling activities.

Iran's plan involves constructing this border wall that is 4 meters high and 3.7 long, with a thickness of one meter.

Military theorists have indicated that this border may be susceptible to a range of threats, including potential border skirmishes between Iran and the Taliban in the future.
