PARIS – Iran’s men’s goalball team defeated hosts France 12-8 in Pool A of the 2024 Paralympic Games on Friday.

Team Melli are scheduled to meet Brazil and the U.S. in the following days.

Pool B consists of Egypt, Ukraine, Japan and China.

The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games take place from Aug. 28 Sept. 8 and more than 4,000 athletes from around the world have participated in 549 medal events.
