TEHRAN - Semnan province has unveiled a new album of its finest handicrafts, marking a step in promoting local artisans and boosting the visibility of their work.

A local official in charge of handicrafts announced the launch of an album showcasing the province’s handmade masterpieces, on Wednesday, highlighting the collection’s role in promoting and selling local handicrafts.

“The album, which features 100 high-quality works, includes items with national and UNESCO labels,” Samaneh Soltanipour noted, adding that the collection offers professional photography and detailed information about each piece.

This initiative, she underscored, aims to enhance visibility for local artisans and facilitate easier access for buyers.

Soltanipour also outlined other recent efforts, including the establishment of the first virtual handicraft store, the organization of various training courses, and documentation of local handicrafts.

Additionally, the province has signed a sales agreement with the Astan Quds Razavi and held numerous handicraft markets and exhibitions throughout the past year, the official emphasized.

A new handicraft industrial park also will soon open in Semnan, further supporting the sector’s growth and development, she concluded.
