Iran Greco-Roman defend title at 2024 U17 World

TEHRAN – Iran Greco-Roman team defended their title at the U17 World Wrestling Championships Wednesday night.
The first World Championships of this season take place from Aug. 19 to 25 in Amman, Jordan.
Iran once again clinched the team title with 140 points. Uzbekistan, who won its first team title in Greco-Roman at the U17 level at the Asian Championships, finished second with 113 points, eight points ahead of Azerbaijan which was third.
The Iranian team claimed three gold and three bronze medals.
Armin Shamsipour in 48kg, Amir Saeidi Nava in 65kg and Danial Izadi in 92kg snatched three gold medals and Abolfazl Karami in 51kg, Emad Mohsennejhad in 80kg and Aliasghar Dadbakhsh in 110kg claimed three bronze medals.
