Sandy Rustin’s “Clue” on stage at Divar Art Home

TEHRAN-The play “Clue” by Sandy Rustin and directed by Sepehr Javidian is on stage at Divar Art Home in Tehran.

The play has Fatemeh Akbarpur, Golnoush Imani, Yashar Boroumand, Erfan Ranjbar, and Behrouz Lesani in the cast among others.

“Clue” is a murder-mystery farce adapted from the 1985 film “Clue,” itself based on the namesake popular board game. Sandy Rustin adapted Jonathan Lynn's screenplay for the stage, with additional material by Hunter Foster and Eric Price.

The tale begins at a remote mansion, where six mysterious guests assemble for an unusual dinner party where murder and blackmail are on the menu. When their host turns up dead, they all become suspects. Led by Wadsworth – the butler - Miss Scarlett, Professor Plum, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock, and Colonel Mustard race to find the killer as the body count stacks up. 

“Clue” is the comedy whodunit that will leave both cult fans and newcomers in stitches as they try to figure out who did it, where, and with what!

Sandy Rustin is a Broadway playwright and actress. One of the most produced playwrights in America, Sandy penned the adaptation of the cult-hit film, “Clue” which has enjoyed over 3,500 productions worldwide. The NY TIMES called it “a welcome throwback to an era of physical comedy!” 

The play will be performed until Friday at Divar Art Home, which is located at No. 72, Sepand St., Nejatollahi St.
