Annual shoes export stands at over $90m

TEHRAN – Iran’s value of shoes export stood at over $90 million in the past Iranian calendar year 1402 (ended on March 19), according to the chairman of Iranian Union of Handmade Shoe Makers.

Rasoul Shajari also announced that 250 million pairs of leather shoes are annually made in the country.

He made the remarks on the sidelines of the 11th International Exhibition of Footwear, Bag Leather, and Related Industries (MPEX 2024), which kicked off at Tehran Permanent International Fairgrounds on Monday.

More than 150 domestic and foreign companies including Italy, China, and Turkey are showcasing their latest products and services in this four-day exhibition.

As reported, all kinds of leather products including various office bags, women's and men's leather shoes, sandals, sportswear, leather products, all kinds of leather clothing, all kinds of leather including Ashbalt and artificial leathers, various leather processing machinery including laser machines, press machines, all kinds of sewing machines and other equipment are being presented and displayed to the public in the exhibition.
