TEHRAN - Mehraneh museum has officially opened doors in Zanjan, with the minister of cultural heritage, tourism, and handicrafts praising it as a “remarkable and enduring treasure.” 

“In my three decades of professional activity, I have not seen such a valuable, prestigious, professional, and scientific collection anywhere,” Seyyed Ezzatollah Zarghami said on Thursday evening during his visit to Zanjan province and at the opening ceremony of the Mehraneh Museum.

Many historical items in the museum, Zarghami brought to light, were donated by the public. He also added that the museum’s extensive and unique collection, bolstered by the Mehraneh Charity, includes rare ancient artifacts, some of these items include pottery dating back to the millennium BC, which is very valuable and must be carefully preserved.

“The Mehraneh museum is a highly blessed collection in the country and is considered a lasting treasure,” the minister highlighted.

He noted that this museum, along with the Mehraneh Charity which supports health needs, and the capacities it has created, is a model countrywide.

The museum, Zarghami outlined, was established with the help of benefactors and an extraordinary management structure.

Zarghami concluded that the work done by benefactors in Zanjan province reflects a mature, cultured, and advanced society in our country.
