Western terror and support for terror
US, UK and France have a long history of backing terrorism
TEHRAN - Some in the Western world have stepped up their accusations of terrorism against countries and resistance movements in West Asia while hiding themselves behind the mask of terrorism.
The United States of America, the United Kingdom and France frequently play around the word terrorism, in a bid to increase the level of hatred against countries such as the Islamic Republic of Iran, Syria or the government in Sana’a.
Likewise, the terminology is thrown about against resistance movements such as Lebanon’s Hezbollah and Palestinians in Gaza or the anti-U.S. resistance movement in Iraq for that matter.
The end goal is to justify their aggression against these countries and movements that are defending the territorial integrity of their countries.
Likewise, the aim is to justify the genocidal war against civilians in Gaza and shield the occupation from international prosecution despite its many war crimes as documented by the United Nations and its agencies.
While the Palestinians continue their nearly eight-decade struggle for freedom and statehood, the U.S., the UK and France have green-lighted the occupation regime to carry on terrorizing women and children in Gaza.
Complicit in these acts of terrorism by the Israelis, these three countries, along with others in the West, have shipped the same weapons that have killed almost 40,000 Palestinians in the space of ten months and injured more than 91,000 others.
This is while there is no safe zone for Palestinians left in the enclave that has been reduced to rubble.
The United States, the United Kingdom and France are overseeing a genocide against Palestinians and supporting it to the hilt. The public announcements are not worth the ink they are written on as these three countries have the capability of ending the genocide today if they wanted to.
But they can’t because the price of Palestinians is very cheap in comparison with the security of an Israeli occupier.
“Terrorism as criminal and unjustifiable, wherever and by whomever committed, including those which jeopardize the friendly relations among States and peoples and threaten the territorial integrity and security of States” is the UN definition of terrorism.
The U.S. has waged more wars in history than any other country on the planet, killing millions of civilians. The U.S. has jeopardized the friendly relations among states and peoples in the West Asia region and beyond before and after the Vietnam War.
America killed one million Iraqis after it invaded Iraq and killed hundreds of thousands of children with sanctions before it invaded Iraq.
The U.S. supported the war on Yemen and the war on Syria that fractured relations in the region.
Today, as Syria and Turkey attempt to repair their diplomatic ties, the U.S. stands in the way as it has done since the war on Syria began by backing groups that unsurprisingly turned out to be terrorist organizations.
The same terrorist groups that the CIA funded have spread across West Asia, killing innocent people in countries such as Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran as well as Syria and Iraq. Relatively few countries in West Asia have been spared.
America, the UK and France have regularly attempted to undermine Iran through multiple means, most notably their support and financial backing for the MKO, a designated terrorist organization.
The list of terrorist groups backed by the U.S., France and Britain against the Islamic Republic are many.
These three countries are responsible for the blood of thousands of Iranians through acts of terror waged inside Iran or at the Iranian borders by violent militant groups.
The same countries and others in the West backed, funded and armed the war waged against Iran by the former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.
American interference in Latin America, with regime changes and sanctions, has seen families in Latin American countries suffer, as in Cuba, Venezuela and Bolivia.
Wherever there is trouble and war in the world, the fingerprints can be traced back to Washington, London and Paris.
Yet these same countries accuse states and movements in West Asia today of terrorism, for the “crime” of defending their land and ensuring security for their people from Western imperialism, American hegemony and terror that is looting the natural resources of the region, with Israel being the main military base to conduct these acts of terror.
Had the U.S.-led NATO military alliance interfered in Libya if there were no oil?
Would the American and French armies occupy military bases in Niger, Burkina Faso or Mali if there were no economic interests in the Sahel region of Africa?
One factor unites countries and groups that have faced Western terrorism; they all oppose Western interference in their internal affairs.
Yet, the West thrives economically on war and division across the globe, especially when it can sell its weapons and create further instability.
