Pakistani tour leaders explore Mashhad sites
TEHRAN – A number of Pakistani tour leaders embarked on a tour of Mashhad’s prominent attractions, gaining a deeper insight into the city’s rich cultural and historical heritage on Thursday.
The guided tour included visits to the Naderi Historical and Cultural Complex, the Ferdowsi Historical and Cultural Complex, the Great Museum of Khorasan, an exhibition and store featuring gemstones on the ground floor of the Museum, and a hospitality complex.
During the visit, on-site guides provided comprehensive information about each place of interest to the visitors. This initiative plays a significant role in promoting Mashhad’s tourist attractions, as Pakistani pilgrims often visit Mashhad after participating in the Arbaeen ceremonies in Iraq and stay in the city for several days.
At the heart of Mashhad is the holy shrine of Imam Reza (the eighth Shia Imam), which marks one of the largest and most revered religious sites in Iran.
Pilgrims from Iran and across the globe visit the shrine to pay their respects, seek spiritual solace, and perform religious rituals.
