TEHRAN – Johari bin Abdul, the speaker of Malaysia's parliament, arrived in Tehran on Monday to attend the presidential inauguration ceremony.

Upon his arrival in Tehran, the high-ranking Malaysian official was welcomed by Alaeddin Boroujerdi, a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian parliament.

The Speaker of Malaysia's Parliament, along with other high-ranking foreign officials, is set to participate in the inauguration ceremony of President Masoud Pezeshkian on Tuesday at the Iranian parliament
