Over 300 foreign dignitaries to attend Iran’s presidential inauguration
TEHRAN- The spokesperson for the Iranian parliamentary board has announced that over 80 diplomatic delegations will be attending Iran’s presidential inauguration ceremony on Tuesday.
Alireza Salimi stated in an interview with ISNA, “The inauguration ceremony of Masoud Pezeshkian will be held on Tuesday, July 30, in the Iranian parliament. In addition to domestic officials and high-ranking authorities, over 80 delegations and 300 foreign guests will also be in attendance.”
Masoud Pezeshkian, who was endorsed By Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on Sunday, is set to take oath in a parliament session attended by the chief of justice and members of the Guardian Council. The move is needed in order for him to be able to begin his presidential duties.
Enrique Mora, deputy head of EU foreign policy, Geraldo Alckmin, Vice President of Brazil, Vyacheslav Volodin, chairman of the State Duma of Russia, Rashid Meredov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Mohammad Shia al-Sudani, Prime Minister of Iraq, Shahbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan, a high-level delegation from China, and several parliamentary delegations from countries around the world are among the guests of the ceremony.
