Iraqi military official visits Iran
TEHRAN- the deputy commander of Iraq’s Army for educational affairs, who arrived in Iran at the head of a seven-member military delegation, visited the Iranian National Defense University.
According to Mehr News, Major General Hamid Mohammad Kamar entered the Islamic Republic of Iran at the head of a seven-member military delegation.
During his visit to the National Defense University, he met with Brigadier General Ismail Ahmadi-Moghaddam, the head of the university. In this meeting, he expressed the Iraqi Army’s interest in developing scientific, educational, and research relations with Iran and emphasized, “We hope that the people and armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, who stood by the people and armed forces of Iraq during the crisis in Iraq and the fight against ISIS, will also assist in training the Iraqi armed forces.”
Ismail Ahmadi-Moghaddam stated, “The National Defense University is ready to provide and engage in scientific and research collaboration for a strategic level with the Iraqi Army. We are prepared to offer strategic national defense and specialized doctoral courses to all neighboring and Muslim countries, utilizing our most experienced professors.”
The head of the National Defense University of Iran traveled to Iraq on December 25, 2023, at the invitation of the Iraqi Minister of Interior to sign academic cooperation agreements.
