Iranian Army Aviation goes high-tech: Iranian Commander
TEHRAN- The chief commander of Iran's Army's Air Defense Force visited radar and air defense sites at the Abdanan industrial complex.
According to ISNA, Brigadier General Alireza Sabahifard, following a visit to the defense industries at the west of Iran's border, inspected the radar and border air defense sites at the Abdanan Industries and tested the readiness of these units' defense capabilities.
The commander of the Army's Air Defense Force stated, “Air defense, as the most important defense component of the country, has been able to play an effective role in enhancing the combat capabilities of the armed forces. Soon, with the efforts and dedication of the specialized and technical staff and interaction with other relevant agencies, various radar, missile, artillery, and drone systems will be integrated into the country's air defense system.”
The Army's Air Defense is one of the four sub-forces of Iran's Army responsible for defending Iran's airspace at twelve border points.
Abdanan’s defense industries, located in the western part of Ilam province, are equipped with advanced radar systems for ground defense of Iran’s airspace.
