TEHRAN- An exhibition of painting by renowned artist Ali Bahreini will be inaugurated in Tehran’s Niavaran Cultural Center on Tuesday, showcasing a poignant depiction of the events leading up to Ashura.

The exhibition, which features 38 paintings in two sections, provides a comprehensive narrative of Imam Ali's (AS) life and the tragedy of Ashura from the first day of Muharram to the evening of Ashura, ISNA reported on Sunday.

The artworks are executed in various dimensions using oil painting techniques and blend elements of realism and impressionism, the report added.

The Ashura event is one of the most dramatic historical occurrences. It marks the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), the third Imam and the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), along with his 72 loyal companions.
