TEHRAN – Iran lost to Lebanon 64-49 on Saturday and failed to qualify for the FIBA U18 Women's Asia Cup Division B final.

Reem El Ghali finished with 22 points and 13 rebounds, while Maygem Naassan supplied a 14-4-6 stat line with 6 steals and 2 blocks as the duo helped the crew arrange a showdown with the Philippines and Zahra Zarei collected 15 points for Iran.

Iran had defeated Chinese Taipei, Kyrgyzstan and Samoa in preliminary round.

The Persians are scheduled to meet Samoa on Sunday in the competition’s third-place match, while the Philippines and Lebanon will lock horns in the final.

The winners will qualify for Division A.

The competition is being held in Shenzhen, China.
