TEHRAN – Sepahan football team defeated Mes 2-0 here at the Azadi Stadium in Iran’s 2023/24 Hazfi Cup in on Thursday.

Shahriar Moghanlou’s brace in the first half saw Sepahan claim Hazfi Cup title for the fifth time.

He scored in the eighth minute and extended the lead from the penalty spot in the 23rd minute.

Esteghlal and Persepolis are the most decorated teams in Hazfi Cup with seven title each.

Hazfi Cup is an Iranian knockout football competition held annually by the Football Federation Islamic Republic of Iran.
