Motorcyclists embark on tourism journey in northern Iran
TEHRAN – Living an adventure from Tehran to the northern provinces, a tourism motorcycle rally has started as the first of its kind in Iran.
According to the Touring and Automobile Club of Iran, more than 30 motorcyclists have embarked on a tourist journey from Monday morning, coinciding with the Eid al-Adha.
Contestants who started their four-day trip from the Abbas-Abad neighborhood headed to the Haraz Road, one of the most important roads to the northern parts of Iran, to reach the primary stopover, Sari, the capital of Mazandaran province.
After a refreshment in Sari, the motorcyclists will go in the direction of Golestan province’s capital, Gorgan, to explore the touristic and natural attractions of the city.
The four-day adventure will come to an end on Thursday, making a fresh start with motorcycle touring across the country.
The event is aimed at boosting sustainable tourism, promoting responsible traveling and safe driving.
As mentioned by the rally organizers, paving the way for “offering special tourism services,” and advancing nature conservation culture are also among the targets for holding such events.
