TEHRAN – Nestled in Tehran’s Amirabad neighborhood, Laleh Park offers something for everyone, from recreational activities to cultural experiences, making it a must-visit destination in Tehran.

As mentioned by Visit Iran, Laleh Park’s design was inspired by New York’s Central Park, situated in Manhattan’s bustling Business District. Similarly, Laleh Park’s north side is adjacent to the towering Laleh Hotel (formerly the Continental Hotel) and the shopping centers and towers of Kargar Street.

In the northwest section, near the Carpet Museum, visitors can explore a vibrant handicrafts market. Close by is the renowned Tehran Museum of Contemporary Arts, whose architecture is inspired by the windcatchers of Iran’s desert regions. The museum houses one of the world’s most impressive collections of modern paintings.

The park is home to the first specialized library for children in Tehran and hosts the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults on its east side, which includes a center for puppet theater performances. In contrast to the dense trees on the northern side, the southern areas of the park feature a Japanese-style garden with winding waterways, bridges, ponds, and an island, creating a serene and picturesque setting.

Two main pathways extend from the north side throughout the park, offering ideal routes for walking, running, playing, and exercising. One of the park’s highlights is the row of cedar trees planted in the east. The area also includes a skate rink, adding to its recreational appeal.

Laleh Park is lively and energetic in the mornings and evenings, making it an inviting spot to experience both the sporty areas and the lush nature of the north and east.

Access to the park is convenient, with short walks from Fatemi Street, Keshavarz Boulevard, Valiasr Square, or Hejab Street. Visitors can also reach Laleh Park by exiting the subway at Enghelab Square station on line 4 and taking a taxi or walking ten minutes north on Kargar Street. Additionally, buses from Azadi Square to Haft-e Tir and Valiasr Square stop at Keshavarz Boulevard on the south side of the park.

With multiple entrances from all sides, this full-time park offers easy access for visitors, making it a convenient and welcoming destination.
