China Oriental Performing Arts Group welcomes foreign media with great performances
BEIJING- A number of journalists from some Asian, African and Pacific countries visited China Oriental Performing Arts Group on Tuesday (June 4).
The visit to this group was organized by the China International Press Communication Center (CIPCC).
During their visit to the group, the journalist visited different parts of the building, including a musical instruments museum where they experienced playing some traditional Chinese instruments as one of the directors taught them how to play.
The directors of the group briefed the representatives of the foreign media about the Chinese oriental performing arts, and the journalists enjoyed watching some performances in that place.
The last part of the visit was a press conference with the director of the group, who explained about the group’s activities, and answered the questions raised by the journalists.
The China Oriental Performing Arts Group, under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, is one of the most prestigious national art troupes, originating from the China Song and Dance Troupe, Oriental Song and Dance Troupe as well as China Light Music Troupe.
It has nurtured numerous world-renowned artists, and has created and performed many fine art works that are well-received by local and overseas audiences.
China Oriental Performing Arts Group is a cultural group at national level.
As the predecessors of CHINA ORIENTAL PERFORMING ARTS GROUP CO. LTD, Chinese Song and Dance Troupe and Oriental Song and Dance Troupe are two most prestigious state song and dance troupes in China that have been receiving constant concern and support from several generations of the Party and state’s central collective leadership.
They have represented the highest standard of music and dance art in China, nurturing numerous world renown artists, and creating and performing countless fine art works well received by Chinese and foreign audience.

The group will make solid progress while deepening the reform, and achieve the balance between social and economic benefits, so as to make its contributions to the friendship and exchange between China and the rest of the world, and to achieve the China Dream of great national rejuvenation.
As earlier mentioned, the visit to China Oriental Performing Arts Group was organized by the China International Press Communication Center (CIPCC).
CIPCC, under the China Public Diplomacy Association (CPDA), has initiated a program to build a platform for the media from countries around the world, especially developing countries, to observe China and study development in this country.
In each edition of the program, journalists from all around the world gather together to get familiar with the modern China and exchange their experiences in the field of journalism.
In 2024 edition of the program, started in late February, over 100 journalists from more than 90 countries are participating.
