Iran, Jordan private sectors to exchange business delegations

TEHRAN – The heads of the chambers of commerce of Iran and Jordan have highlighted the significance of exchanging trade delegations so that businesspeople from both countries will get familiar with the potentials of each other.

The Head of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) Samad Hassanzadeh and his Jordanian counterpart Khalil Haj Tawfiq met on the sidelines of the 36th Board of Directors meeting of the Islamic Chamber for Commerce and Development (ICCD) in Amman, Jordan, last week.

The Jordanian side welcomed the presence of the ICCIMA head in the event, congratulating him on being elected to the post.

Hassanzadeh, for his part, appreciated Jordan for hosting the ICCD meeting which he said would help strengthen cooperation between the member countries in business areas.

Referring to the urgency for businesspeople on both Iran and Jordan to get further familiar with each other, he highlighted the need for exchanging business delegations and holding investment opportunities seminars.

The official invited the President of Jordan Chamber of Commerce to visit Tehran at the head of a business delegation for the 40th General Assembly Meeting of the Islamic Chamber due to be held in the Iranian capital in the Fall of 2024.

The Jordanian side welcomed the invitation and said that he will attend the meeting in Tehran.
